Community and Citywide Education Council Elections

The New York City Department of Education launched the 2011 Community and Citywide Education Council Elections which provides parents with a great opportunity to get involved in public education and meet other parents.

CEC applications are being accepted now through April 9, and for the first time, parents can text “APPLY” to 877877 to receive application information, in addition to filling out and submitting their applications online or via mail (standard text messaging rates apply).

Here’s the link to the website where parents can get more information about elections and can also fill out an application: http://powertotheparents.org/.
