TD BANK FOUNDATION PRESENTS GRANT TO PARENTJOBNET!

TD BANK FOUNDATION PRESENTS GRANT CHECK TO PARENTJOBNET!

 By Michael George

The idea that the spirit of cooperation with common goals for the greater good of the people is something attainable.  On January 26, 2011, The TD Bank Charitable Foundation awarded a grant to ParentJobNet (PJN) to help the organization continue their much needed work in the community.  PJN’s Executive Director/Founder Pat Craddick, and Board Chair Helen Rosenthal, accepted the award from TD Bank’s Manager Joe Doolan at the 68th and Broadway branch in Manhattan.  PJN’s mission is to educate, prepare, and connect public school parents with job opportunities and other economic resources and TD Bank recognizes the importance of what PJN does in the school community.
“We‘re very community-minded,” said Doolan. “We love their organization. They‘re enriching people‘s lives and we feel honored to help them move their cause forward.”
Since 2008 TD Bank branches have been the site for several PJN Networking events, including one coming up in March 2011, even raffling off debit cards worth $50-100 and providing catering service at each event. The grant will help PJN continue their program operations, classes, workshops, and events.
“We believe that the hard work that ParentJobNet does really helps the community,” added Doolan. “They do a lot of good things for the community and we want to be part of their future."
