Exciting Workshops Beginning this Week in November 2010

ParentJobNet understands what it takes to obtain employment and the responsibilities that accompany being employed. With that in mind, PJN is presenting two exciting, and free, workshops that go hand in hand for participants preparing themselves for the world of employment.

The workshops, “Job Readiness/Computer Skills” and “Take Charge of Your Finances” are both excellent tools for seeking employment and responsibility once the goal is obtained.

In “Job Readiness/Computer Skills” participants will learn how to identify their work interests, job skills and construct a path towards finding the job that suits them. In addition, participants will learn how to use the internet, set up a free E-mail account, practice interviews, receive resume writing tips and how to search, and apply, for a job online. The five-session workshop will be held at P.S. 84 - 32 W. 92nd Street, NYC - from November 4 - 23, 2010 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 p.m to 2:00 p.m.  Space for this workshop is limited to the first fifteen (15) participants. In the workshop “Take Charge of Your Finances” - in partnership with Chase - participants will learn valuable fundamentals about Savings, Budgeting and Credit Management. Space for this workshop is limited to the first twenty five (25) participants. The workshops will be held at P.S. 84 - 32 W. 92nd Street, NYC on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and Thursday, December 9, 2010 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Register online at here.  Flyer.
